Last week v3.co.uk posted a great article about the vulnerability of Microsoft Windows XP; in brief the article highlights how XP users are even more at risk since 14th July when Microsoft removed the Malicious Software Removal Tool and updates to the Security Essentials Programme.
Amazingly, there are still high numbers of users on XP
Despite Microsoft’s warnings about the potential risks when support for XP ended, we are still seeing users with XP. The message from v3.co.uk is to stop using XP entirely, especially if you are connected to the internet; even if you have an alternative anti-virus you will unlikely be able to renew it on its anniversary.
